How long have you worked at Gazebo: All my life  

How did you start at Gazebo? I walked in one summer night and fell in love with the store. I returned a week later and applied for a job, the rest is history.

What is your favorite part of your job? The customers are my favorite part of the job (most of the time) and the respect that I receive for my skills and knowledge.  
 
What is your best memory from working as a Gazeboite? One day while out on a break I found myself walking around down town. I passed two women  and one said to the other “there she is, that’s the Bra Goddess”! Needless to say the title stuck and I am still referred to as that.

How long have you worked at Gazebo: 10yrs, 4yrs fulltime

How did you start at Gazebo?  I started at Gazebo in high school as my part-time after school job. My first position was as a “girl Friday”. As I matured I was trained as a saleswoman and skilled bra fitter. I went away to college and found myself studying to become a buyer. When graduation came I was frantic and excited to start a career in buying. Due to finances, I was unable to relocate to a large city.  I found myself back  in Northampton, presented with the opportunity of a life time. Judith Fine was looking for a buyer and was willing to hire and train me in the profession. What started out as an opportunity to train as a buyer has developed into my current career.  Now I am married and I have  a child and I am still here! Everyday is a challenge and there’s always something to learn.
 
What is your favorite part of your job? Working with my other Gazeboites! They are a truly diverse and beautiful group of women who allow  Gazebo to be the great success that it is.  

What is your best memory from working as a Gazeboite? I’d say my best memory is when we closed for renovations a few years ago. It was exciting to see Gazebo get a face lift and actually have a part in it. It was wonderful to see people’s reaction to the updates and it was fun to do.

How long have you worked at Gazebo:  3yrs 

How did you start at Gazebo? 
I had been looking for employment, hoping to utilize my experience of working with nursing mothers. I found myself in Northampton on Center Street. I happened upon Gazebo and found a help wanted sign in the window and was hopeful my search might be over! A short while later it was, and I have been proud to be a part of this beautiful place since! 

What is your favorite part of your Job?
Turning a frown upside down! Many woman come to us desperate and uncomfortable. If I can help them leave saying things like” I never thought I could feel this good in a bra”, it makes my day!

What is your best memory from working as a Gazeboite?
A woman came in with her young daughter ready to get her first bra. I brought them into the dressing room and sat down with them to discuss what the young lady was looking for. The mother said, “Oh you are going to sit and talk!” There was such surprise and appreciation in her voice.

How did you start at Gazebo?
When I was younger my mother brought me here once a year for my bras and I always remembered it as a positive and exciting experience. So , it was with much pleasure that I saw the help-wanted sign in the window just weeks after relocating to the area. I was thrilled to be hired and it is a wonderful team to be part of and environment to be in.

What is your favorite Part of your Job?
Trying on new bras!

What is your best memory from working as a Gazeboite?
I was working alone one day when a teenager came in with her mother. She was very uncomfortable with her body and very large chest. I was able to spend some time with her and fitted her with a bra that she felt amazingly comfortable in. She walked out of the store beaming and was very pleased with herself. It’s moments like that which make this job so pleasurable.

How long have you worked at Gazebo?
On and off for 20 years

How did you start at Gazebo? 
Judith asked me to make fringed scarves out of silk remnants.
She then asked me to make her signature silk line.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Helping post mastectomy patients feel better about their appearance.
Fitting bras with pockets takes a specific skill and is a challenge.

What is your best memory from working as a Gazeboite?
I like working as a part of the Gazebo team.
